This salad hits the spot and really kills the craving to hit up the drive thru. It has all the flavors of a Big Mac without the gluten or the guilt.
YOU WILL NEED:
One small onion. (A medium onion if you're making your own sauce, see below.)
Lean ground beef.
Epicure Burger Seasoning (Optional)
Red Onion (Optional)
Epicure Big Burger Sauce OR
Mayonnaise, white vinegar, sugar, ketchup, relish, onion and a pinch of salt.
Step 1) Finely chop a small onion and fry it with the ground beef. Season the beef with Epicure Burger seasoning and when cooked, drain any grease that remains.
Step 2) Make your salad by first layering washed and rinsed lettuce, ground beef, chopped dill pickle and cheddar cheese. I like the addition of red onion and mushrooms, but that's your call.
Step 3) Create the dressing. You can use Epicure Big Burger Sauce and follow the instructions on the bottle using some of the ingredients listed below OR, follow this recipe for your own Big Mac sauce.
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 2 TBSP Ketchup
- 4 TSP Relish
- 1 TBSP Minced Onion
- 1 TSP White Vinegar
- 1 TSP Sugar
- A pinch of salt.
